Sadly my tenure as the acting off-campus librarian at the U of Manitoba is coming to an end. It has been fun, and I feel very fortunate to have had this opportunity.
If you've been following my blog, you'll have realised that entries are drifting from OCL related material to more personal stuff. Eventually this will be moved to a new and exciting blog that deals with my current research interests, mostly in the historical geography of rupert's land, and in providing efficient library services to a wider university based audience. Ever wondered how best to search for materials on Native History in Canada, whether to use aboriginal, native, first-nation, bois-brule, chicot, metis, cree, chipewa, ojibwa, ojibwe etc? I'll be exploring some of these issues in the blog to come; also some discussions about eco-friendly lawn mowing, sensible commuting, and generally trying to fix the wrongs of the world, one earth worm at a time.
I won't be changing the blog until the end of the web 2.0 course, I'm currently participating in, so those of you in the programme won't miss out.
